If you know me, you'll know I'm not really the clickity-click, smile-for-the-camera type of photographer. I capture the more intimate, authentic moments between parents & children during early family years, and extended family sessions just didn't quite allow me to do that.
But with so many clients reaching out to inquire about extended family portraits, and with so many photographers commonly turning these away, I just couldn't help but think -- ...could this be done?And you know what? It absolutely can.
While my early familyhood sessions are definitely still the way to go when it comes to a fully immersive experience with far more artistic results, I firmly believe that extended family sessions can also be elevated to become something much more deep & magical than just your run-of-the-mill mini photo session.

If you're truly craving those raw, organic moments that you typically see in my family work, you definitely will still need to book a session for just yourself and your kids. But if you're looking for something a little more elevated and unique than signing up for someone's seasonal minis, this is definitely a happy medium.
