What Are Your Prices?
Click here for my pricing page for current pricing brackets. If you're ready to book with me, simply fill out my contact form with the type of shoot you're looking for and I'll send you all further details! Do You Do Mini Shoots? The short answer; No. I'm more of a storytelling and narrative-based photographer, so I offer a one-on-one immersive experience to my photoshoots to evoke more raw emotions and candids in full-length sessions, as well as full artistic styling. If you're more so looking for conventional fall minis or simple, posed family portraits, I might not be the best fit for you! How Long Will It Take To Receive My Photos? Unless I have extreme backlog of sessions, generally all online galleries are delivered by 10 days. These will be sent to you in the form of a personal online gallery with high-resolution digital files to download. For weddings, turnaround may be around 4-6 weeks for the full gallery (though you will receive sneak peeks the day after your ceremony!) What Should I Wear? It's totally okay if you're not comfortable with styling, because that's a major part of what I specialize in. When you book, I'll be personally working one-on-one with you to create an inspiration board filled with stunning ideas based on your questionnaire responses, with many pieces hand-picked from well-loved photographer boutiques. And the biggest tip I can offer above all? Be open-minded! We spend every day inside our comfort zone of "safe" outfits, but if ever there was an opportunity to branch out and be a little daring, this is it, and I'm here to guide you every step of the way. What Is Your Availability Like? I book my sessions around Golden Hour, which is a term for the hour or so before sunset and yields the most romantic glowing light for photos. There is also a golden hour at sunrise, though you might have to talk me into it ;) I generally book on weekdays more than weekends whenever possible, as this is when I'm booked for weddings. I usually advise reaching out to me at least a month in advance, as I sometimes will be booking two months out! Can I Postpone If It's Cloudy? If it's raining, or snowing to the point that the roads aren't safe, we can postpone and discuss my next available date. For all other reasons including overcast/cloudy skies with little to no rain, I do take a postponement fee. If you're worried that your photos won't look good unless it's sunny, don't be! Cloudy weather is actually wonderful and most photographers love a good overcast shoot — believe it or not, sometimes even more than a bright sunny day. Can I Choose My Photos? Can I Get ALL Of My Photos? For my format of packages, when we work together I need your trust to deliver you my best work. I promise whatever photos are disposed of are not photos that you want, because I'm not perfect! I have plenty of misfires, blinking, unflattering faces, blurry images, overexposure, and just plain duplicates of the same shot. When you hear five hundred shutter clicks, that's because we need to over-shoot to get the actual images we need. I do not withhold any beautiful photographs with value, because that doesn't benefit either of us. Can I Get My RAW Files Too? RAW or unedited image files are not included with my pricing. When booking, it's very important to be sure to check out the style in my galleries to make sure my work is a good fit for you and the look that you're going for. Photographers are all very unique and different in their technique! Are You LGBT Friendly? Abso-freaking-lutely. |
Do You Shoot Extended Families?
As of 2023, I am officially launching my extended family sessions! These are full, 60 minute sessions like my standard family sessions. Bear in mind, these sessions aren't nearly as immersive as my standard sessions, but are also a wonderful opportunity to get some stunning shots with your extended family that you wouldn't be able to get at a short mini shoot with someone else. They're the perfect middle ground! Do You Photograph Birthday Parties Or Showers? Aside from elopements & weddings, I do not offer any event coverage in my services. This includes showers, birthdays, and family reunions. Do You Have A Studio? Nope! Not my cup of tea. I'm happy to meet you in places like forests, beaches, meadows, mountains, or even some fun city shots on occasion. I don't currently offer home or backyard sessions (except for newborns), but I've got a whole list of spots I've scoped out for a more wild & organic experience! Can I Bring My Dog? This is a question I get asked quite frequently, and generally this can get a little tricky for some sessions. As a disclaimer, this is not because I don't totally adore doggies! But I've also found that they just aren't conducive to the type of work I produce. Capturing the organic moments in my photos (which I'm sure is why you're interested in booking me!) requires me to have all of your attention for a fully immersive experience. It's how I'm able to do what I do! That said, if you'd really love to include your furry friend, I ask that you bring along a helper who can take them on a little walk while we complete the rest of our shoot so that I can have you hands-free. Where Are You Located? I'm located in Coventry, CT (UConn region), though I know plenty of beautiful local spots and around the state, and I'll be sending you my locations guide to help give some ideas! I also travel up to 40 miles included if you have a specific location in mind (I can travel to other areas of Connecticut and Massachusetts as well with additional fees, but we can discuss that during booking). Smaller sessions have limited availability to local regions. Will You Travel To Me For The Micro Headshot Session? Nope. My micro headshot session is a great deal, but I'm only able to keep it that way because it's local! I'm happy to meet you in Coventry to get you business headshots for a great price, or you're welcome to book me for a higher tier and have me travel wherever you'd like, and even get more time for outfit changes! Can I Pay You In Cash The Day Of The Shoot? The first half of your payment is taken upon booking through a contract & invoice sent to your email, which can be paid via any regular debit/credit card. This is a retainer fee, which books your reservation into my calendar! You are welcome to pay your remaining balance using whatever method you'd like including cash, or I can just send you a second invoice. Why Do I Need To Pay Upfront? Retainer fees are important to photographers (and many vendors) because this is what reserves your date&time into our calendar permanently. To learn more about what this means, read my blog post! Do You Sell Prints? You can actually order prints as well as other photo products straight through the shop tab of your online gallery where you download your photos! Can I Use Your Photos As My Book Cover? All packages listed include licensing for personal use, which are things that you won't be making profit off of – i.e photo albums and picture frames, personal social media sharing, wedding invitations, and even LinkedIn profiles or your company's website. Business cards are fine too! Things like publications fall under something called commercial use; this includes things like magazines, newspapers, books, music album covers, paid advertising/marketing for your business, and so on. If you think your project is in need of commercial photography, feel free to contact me and we can figure out a budget for you that will include licensing permissions for you to use your photos commercially! |
